I travelled to Chartres in August 2025… I travelled with a group completely unknown to me… I travelled with some people who now are dear to my heart and still unknown in some sense. My days in Chartres were rich in exchanging ideas, kind words, music, creative insights, and spiritual insights. They were rich in dancing, singing, gathering in the community and talking with the people close to the Cathedral and from the place of Chartres.

I am still not sure what exactly happened to me in Chartres, but I know it was an intense meeting with myself. With a part of me, not forgotten, but always remembered in the shadows of my everyday life. Coming to the surface from time to time to tell and whisper things to me… like “do you remember the stories your grandfathers told you?” – do you remember? Echoing in the back of my head and thereby, thoughts once thought re-emerge like the sacredness of feminine and masculine energies and streams in lives. Energies each human carries and energies that bind every living thing together, because essentially these are the energies that create life. Energies that make us spiral.

The labyrinth in glass

And where might these energies spiral you? Where did they spiral me? The energies and colours of Chartres… a labyrinth that maybe the moment we step into, we lose the control …even though there is only one direction to go. There is only forward. And there is only one objective to spiral to centre! To meet in the middle of the energies. To meet yourself part, all your parts, to meet the core of who you are and what you might become and where you have been in times and during sleep and maybe even past lifetimes. Are you ready to meet these parts? Would you spiral to the centre? Would you step into the labyrinth? And if not who or what is holding you back?

The fire and light in Chartres

There is a lot of courage and Self-consciousness needed to meet Chartres face to face. This place and this Cathedral is engulfed in fire and light. Fire is the element that helps craft the beautiful windows that break the sunlight and illuminate the interior of the Cathedral in a unique way. Nothing in the design and appearance of the Cathedral is left to a coincidence – in Chartres everything holds meaning. Really everything: from the person who greets you first to the one who you will greet on your departure; from the first statue that speaks to you to the first bird you spot; from the first meal you have and the first French word you will speak… nothing is random in this place.

It is for these reasons that a visit to Chartres is worth a million dollars and more… because no place will change you like Chartres will help you change to the better YOU. Let’s meet in Chartres 🙂 and I will tell you more about what happened to me there.
